Design Philosophy
The foundry took a systematic, craft-driven approach to type design, building complete typeface families with careful attention to consistency across weights and styles. Their work emphasized functional clarity rooted in modernist tradition.
Notable Typefaces
The catalog includes Foundry Sans, Foundry Sterling, Foundry Context, and Foundry Gridnik. Corporate commissions included typefaces for Yellow Pages (winning a D&AD Silver award), BG plc, NatWest, and signage for the Lisbon Metro system.
