Full license guide →Intel One Mono was designed for an audience typography rarely addresses: developers with low vision. Frere-Jones Type created it in partnership with Intel's brand team and the agency VMLY&R, and a panel of low-vision and legally blind developers gave feedback at each stage of the design. The stated aims were maximum legibility, less fatigue and eye strain, and fewer coding errors.
That brief makes it more than another coding font. If your team includes people with low vision, or you want a monospace chosen with long sessions in mind, it deserves a trial in your editor and terminal. It also suits documentation sites and code samples where accessibility is a requirement rather than a nice-to-have.
Specs on Google Fonts:

Intel publishes both ready-to-use fonts and editable sources on GitHub. Intel One Mono is free on Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
